Hi, I'm Jackie, and hand-painting paper for mixed media art is my favorite hobby. (I hope it becomes yours, too!) Somedays, I paint with a specific purpose, but most days, I spend a little time in the studio exploring and creating intuitively. This puts me in a state of experimentation and wonder. My work excites me, and I hope it inspires you to try new things. For many of us, painting paper was one of the first things we learned to do in school, and you know what? We were not expected to create "art." Somewhere along the way, many of us were made to feel less than great about our creativity, so we stopped, which is a shame. I invite you back to a place of play and exploration through this channel. We are not painting for a tangible result but simply to feel good.
