In July 2017 we began to notice that we had certain health issues ranging from increased weight, high blood pressure, migraines, back pain & heart palpitations. It was ironic since we are both nurses & we believed that we’d been eating relatively healthy food. With a bit of trepidation we decided to eliminate highly processed foods & subscribe to a plant-based diet. Over three years later we’ve lost a combined 116 lbs, dropped down a few sizes & feel generally better. We know that what we’ve gotten ourselves into is not a fad, it’s not something that we will stop doing once we’ve reached our ideal weight. What we’ve committed to is a lifestyle change. With this thought in mind, we aim to share what we’ve experienced firsthand with our family & friends. Our goal is to share simple recipes & healthier alternatives to the meals we’ve all come to love. We aim to inspire you to embrace more plant-based foods & feel good doing it!
