Nip in the Bud
Education
Nip in the Bud works in collaboration with mental health professionals to produce short films to help parents, teachers and others caring for and working with young children to recognise non-neurotypical experiences, mental health disorders or illness to improve prospects of early diagnosis and effective intervention, reducing the risks of those conditions becoming more serious in later years. Our resources are focussed on children aged 3 -11 Our films include conversations about children experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, ODD or conduct disorders or children who may be at risk of self-harming or who live life across the autism spectrum. Further resources are on our website which includes factsheets & advice on other organizations that can help. Our films illustrate the behaviours common in different conditions in children, along with explanations and information on how to follow up and get help.
