My name is Peter Cheng and I'm a lawyer by profession and it was when I was at university (over 4 decades ago) that I realised that I couldn't cook anything! Not rice or even an egg! At that point, I wished that I had paid more attention to my mum and dad cooking the dishes that I had taken for granted. I wished they had left me with some kind of instruction - a cookbook... this was well before youtube and even the internet. And so began my culinary journey to re-learn recipes I should have already known and to master new cuisines that I could not have imagined in my childhood. And now I have my own child and, luckily, he does love to eat (almost) everything. He is not very interested in cooking at the moment but maybe one day, he might what to re-create the dishes that he loved as a kid. If he does, I hope that this channel will be an invaluable resource for him. Peter Cheng
