Tibet Times, commonly known as Bod-Kyi-Dus-Bab in Tibetan Community, established on 2nd September 1996, to fill the need for an independent press to contribute towards monitoring, uplifting and safe guarding of a democratic Tibetan society. Today, Tibet Times plays the role of fourth pillar in Tibetan Community and helps bridge relationships between public and the authorities/organizations/offices and contributes toward promoting ideas and education on democracy, human rights and freedom of expression. Tibet Times mission is to contribute towards establishing a sturdy foundation for a democratic Tibetan society and to preserving the Tibetan unique culture, tradition and the endangered language.
