How many views should I expect on my first YouTube video?

I recently uploaded my first YouTube video and it has around 56 views after 22 hours. I'm curious if this is considered bad, good, or average. How many views did you get on your first video, and what has your experience been with growing your audience?

From my experience, the first video often only reaches a small test audience. YouTube monitors how viewers interact with it, such as likes, comments, and watch time, to decide if it should be shown to a broader audience. With that in mind, if you keep producing quality content, your views will likely increase over time as you build your channel.

When I uploaded my first video, I was really anxious about the view count too. My first video got around 300 views in its first week, which I thought was decent at the time. However, I've seen others get anywhere from 0 to 1.6k views on their first uploads. So, 56 views after a day isn't bad at all! It's all about how YouTube's algorithm decides to test your video with a small audience.

Interestingly, the view count can be quite random. My first video received about 100 views after a few months, but then a different video of mine blew up and got significantly more views. It really shows that you can't predict how each video will perform, so keep experimenting with your content!

I remember my first video getting only about 40 views after several weeks. It took time for me to gain traction, but I eventually broke through and saw more views on later videos. It seems like a common trend for many first-time YouTubers to have modest view counts initially, so don’t get discouraged!

I had a similar experience where my first video got around 500 views within a few hours. However, the subsequent videos only received 8-15 views each. It goes to show that not every video will perform the same way, and sometimes it takes a while to find your niche and audience.
