Is it okay to change your YouTube channel name?

I've been thinking about whether I should keep my channel name, 'The No BS Travel Channel,' or consider changing it. While I like the name for its clarity and honesty, I've noticed that many successful travel vloggers use their names as their channel titles. Should I stick with my unique name, or is it acceptable to change it as I evolve my content?

I believe it's perfectly fine to change your channel name, especially if you're early in your journey. My own channel name was just my name because I procrastinated on the branding part. But I’ve seen channels like Indigo Traveller and One Pack Wanderers flourish without using their names. If your current name reflects your content and ethos, you might want to keep it.

Your channel name really stands out and gives potential viewers a clear idea of what your content is all about—honest travel experiences without the fluff. This is something that can attract an audience that values authenticity over the polished, unrealistic portrayals often seen in travel vlogs. If it resonates with you, I’d suggest keeping it.

If you do decide to change your name, it's wise to inform your audience first. This will help minimize confusion among your current followers. A community post or a video explaining your decision can go a long way in keeping your audience engaged and understanding your brand evolution.
