Does posting frequency impact YouTube channel growth?

As a new YouTuber with 135 subscribers and 28 videos, I'm struggling to maintain a posting schedule. I create both short and long-format content, but with real-life commitments affecting my time, I'm wondering if posting frequency truly matters for growth. Should I focus on a consistent schedule, or would it be better to switch to shorter content to alleviate the pressure?

In my experience, posting frequency and consistency are crucial, especially when you're starting out. Viewers need to see you regularly so they can remember your channel and engage with your content. Although some big names post infrequently, they usually have a strong brand already. For new channels, I suggest aiming for a consistent posting schedule to build your audience and improve your skills.

From what I've learned, there's a balance to strike between quality and quantity. If you’re posting long-form content, I’d suggest aiming for once a week, especially if the quality is decent. However, if you can create shorter content, you might want to ramp up to three times a week to keep your audience engaged and coming back for more.

After analyzing my own channel's growth, I've found that frequency significantly impacts visibility. With 135 subs and 28 videos, it feels like my rate of growth isn't ideal. If I were to change my posting frequency, I would consider the type of content I’m producing. For example, if I were to post shorts, I’d aim for at least once a day, as shorts can help gain traction quickly.

I've noticed a trend where channels that deliver decent quality videos on a weekly basis tend to grow faster than those that post infrequently. This could be because the algorithm favors channels that upload consistently. If you're feeling overwhelmed, focus on creating a manageable schedule that allows you to produce quality content without burning out.
