What are the typical costs involved in creating YouTube videos?

I'm curious about the various expenses that creators incur when making their YouTube videos. Do you have a specific budget per episode, or do you manage to keep your costs low? What tools, software, or other resources do you spend money on, if any?

As someone who focuses on live music content, my expenses can add up. I pay around $55 a year for my editing software, Wondershare Filmora 13. When it comes to attending shows, I average about $50 per ticket, and I usually go to 10 shows a month. That means I spend roughly $60 per video when considering ticket costs, gas, and parking. Local shows are cheaper, but the expenses can definitely stack up when traveling!

For me, my costs are minimal. I spend about £10 a month on Photoshop Elements, which I primarily use for my blog and Pinterest, but I also create YouTube thumbnails with it. I rely on my iPhone and iMovie for video editing, so overall, my expenses are quite low. As a single mom of three, I really have to stick to a tight budget!
