Should I Release Videos Immediately or Keep Some in Reserve?

I've found that coming up with a good thumbnail can be more challenging than creating the video itself. I use Canva for my thumbnails because it’s user-friendly and allows for quick designs. However, I sometimes struggle to get that perfect look that grabs attention. If I can't come up with a decent thumbnail, I often reconsider whether the video is worth publishing, as I know how crucial thumbnails are for attracting viewers.

For those who are more experienced, using Photoshop for thumbnails can elevate your video’s look significantly. I’ve heard from fellow creators that a high-quality thumbnail can heavily influence the number of views your video receives. In fact, if I can’t create a thumbnail that I feel meets my standards, I might hold off on releasing the video, as I believe it impacts its overall visibility.

I personally release my videos weekly, and my process usually takes the entire week to complete. I focus on scripting, recording, filming, and editing, which can be time-consuming. However, I always make sure to create my thumbnails and titles in advance. This way, I have a rough plan for the next two to three videos, which helps me stay organized and reduces stress during the week of release.

Having a few videos in reserve definitely provides some peace of mind. If something comes up where I can't produce content for a week, having those extra videos ready to go means I won’t have to stress about missing a release. It gives me a buffer that allows for flexibility in my schedule, especially when unforeseen events happen.
